Alpha Governance IQ (AGIQ) - Alpha Documentation

Overview

AGIQ measures AI governance competency at the individual director and organizational level. While AGR rates companies, AGIQ rates the people responsible for governing AI. AGIQ is the foundation for:

ACD.AI certification (Alpha Certified Director: AI Governance)
ACE.AI certification (Alpha Certified Expert: AI Governance)
OGA (Organizational Governance Assessment): aggregate AGIQ across all board members and executives

Everyone who takes the AGIQ assessment receives a score and a personalized development roadmap. There is no “fail.”

Six AGIQ Dimensions

Governance Literacy	Understanding of AI governance frameworks, regulatory landscape, and board oversight responsibilities
Technical Fluency	Ability to evaluate AI system capabilities, limitations, and risk profiles without being a technologist
Decision Velocity	Speed and quality of governance decisions in time-pressured scenarios
Regulatory Navigation	Knowledge of EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and cross-jurisdictional requirements
Stakeholder Awareness	Ability to identify and weigh impacts on employees, communities, and external stakeholders
Strategic Integration	Connecting AI governance to business strategy, competitive positioning, and long-term value creation

The AGIQ Diagnostic is a free, 15-minute assessment that provides a directional score and routes individuals to the appropriate tier:

OGA: Organizational Governance Assessment

OGA aggregates individual AGIQ scores across a company’s board and executive team to produce an organizational governance readiness score. This is the primary enterprise product built on AGIQ. OGA enables:

Board composition gap analysis for Nominating/Governance Committees
Director education budget prioritization
Board refresh planning with AI governance competency as a criterion
Peer board benchmarking on governance readiness
