Two credential tiers
| Credential | Post-nominal | AGIQ threshold | Target audience |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha Certified Director | ACD.AI | AGIQ 120+ | Board directors, C-suite, governance professionals, senior compliance officers |
| Alpha Certified Expert | ACE.AI | AGIQ 160+ | Deep AI governance specialists, advisory board chairs, search firm partners, AI ethics leads |
What makes Alpha certification different
The credential is built on three foundations:- A quantified score (AGIQ 0-200), not a pass/fail binary. Every candidate receives a precise measure of their governance preparedness.
- Integration with a live intelligence platform. The credential connects to Alpha Radar, AGR, and GMI, meaning certified directors have access to real-time governance intelligence.
- Regulatory specificity. The Standards Crosswalk maps competencies to EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO 42001 requirements.
Positioning
ACD.AI is the specialist credential that complements generalist governance credentials. The framing: “You have your NACD.DC. ACD.AI proves you can govern AI specifically.”Recertification
Credentials are valid for 24-month cycles. Recertification requires 16 Alpha Credits (continuing education units) earned through Alpha Council events, Board Brief engagement, and professional development activities.Assessment guide
